What does it actually cost to earn a bookkeeping credential in year one?
How this was collected
We take each credentialing body's own published pricing (course, exam, membership, and program fees together, not just the exam fee alone) and compute a first-year all-in total directly from their own pages, cited by name and dated. A credential is only added once its full-program cost path is confirmed this way; a credential whose fee sits behind an account login or is not disclosed on a public page is left out of this table rather than estimated.

- QuickBooks Online (QBO) ProAdvisor certification could not be confirmed from a public page this pass (its exam or fee page sits behind an account login), so it is omitted from this table rather than guessed; see the full comparison at /compare/ for what is and is not published for it.
- Figures reflect a single point in time; a body can change pricing between verification passes, so the live price on the provider's own page always governs.
